GET TO KNOW LANEY LYNX

POP ARTIST: LANEY LYNX

Music for each individual is a very unique and different experience. Everyone has an artist that stands out above the rest. If I had a category for best female artist my vote would go to Laney Lynx.

Her unique style is not defined by one genre of music. Her sound tends to sway towards pop but it has an electric and soulful sound as well. Her music draws you in, makes you want to dance and sing along. Her newest single lovesick takes you through a journey of what it feels like when we have those butterflies in our stomach for the first time meeting that special someone.

My favorite song “Perfectly Flawed” reminds us all that there is no perfect person we all are flawed in one way or another but it is those flaws that make us unique and different. Those flaws help us to stand out.

GET TO KNOW: LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE

Rock Cover Show: Led Zeppelin Experience

The best Led Zeppelin tribute on the planet

-Dennis D’Amico, executive producer (Paul McCartney)

Band Summary:

The Led Zeppelin Experience is basically a tribute to the great British Super Live Group from the ancient times of late 1968 unto the thundering power of the 1973 and over.  The sound, appearance, mannerism, equipment, and performance will absolutely convince the most diehard supporter of the Led Zeppelin band to believe that they’re really watching the original band performing live.

About The Band:

Led Zeppelin Experience authentically brings back the legend British Super Live Group Band reminiscing the good old days when the “Hammer of the Gods” hit America and went viral globally.

The appearance, trait, performance, as well as native English accents are appropriately organized to give you that magical feel and great night of musical experience.  John Paul Jones, a member of the Led Zeppelin Band, said this when signing an autograph, “this is pretty scary” laying emphasis on the resemblance and similarity of every character in the pictures.  This exceptional and revolutionary band originates from Seattle, WA.

All around America and beyond, the group has been delivering warm and exhilarating performances to fans of Led Zeppelin, bringing back the memories of the 1968 Madison Square Garden performance.  The group has performed together with Molly Hatchet, Nazareth, Peter Frampton, Kansas, Foreigner, Eric Burden, The Animals, Jefferson Starship, and many others.

The group has close to 1 million international supporters and still growing.  Other rock stars like them and many fans of the Led Zeppelin group have publicly testified they were actually watching the original British Super Live Group.

Band Bio:

The Led Zeppelin group has been awesome in living up to standard.  As soon as the lighting faints the appearance, sounds, and feeling takes their supporters back to Madison Square Garden where the group had their first performance in 1968.  The equipment, stage, outfits, traits, and accents will surely convince any supporter that thinks it’s impossible.

The group consists of four characters with full equipment.  Prepared to take a smooth drive or flight to any concert reliant to the location and will journey to any destination both within the country and beyond.

The band encourages all forms of promotions and is entirely keen to do live interviews or audio [radio] interviews and live performances on radio to promote any occasion if required.  Our managerial crew will assist in any means to assure a successful event.

In over 30-60 different locations, we have put in place radio spots as well as music for DJ voice overs.  We bring fans together and encourage contests, gatherings, client-sponsorships, etc.  It’s the job of our managerial crew to cover every single part of the concert with promoters to assure a nice and successful occasion.

DUELING PIANO BARS – A PART OF THE SHOW

So what exactly is Dueling Piano? Well I’m sure you’ve seen those awesome scenes in movies; two people sitting at separate pianos, jamming away at the keys to see who can play better and faster. As far back as the 1890’s, ragtime piano players would literally duel in front of a crow to prove themselves the better pianist.

In 1933 the first official Dueling Piano bar was opened in New Orleans, Pat O’Brien’s Bar, still open today! From there the Dueling Piano became an actual show where two piano players take turns singing songs requested by the audience, by writing them down on napkins.

Today Dueling Pianos are a fun, high energy show with emphasis on audience participation; performing songs across all genres. A show really unlike any other!

Conquer Artist Missy Lynn is an insanely talented musician who performs each week at dueling Piano Bar “Keys On Main” in Salt Lake City, Utah.

At Keys on Main, we entertain with a live, all request dueling piano show. No set lists, no rehearsal, just 2 performers & 2 pianos   taking what the audience requests. With each request the audience can decide what they would like to tip the performers and the highest tipping songs get played first. If there is a song that a table or members of the audience do not like, they can stop that song by outbidding its original tip by one dollar. This is the true nature of the “dueling” the audience competing to get their songs played first.

Dueling Piano Bars provide a unique and more interactive form of entertainment than music joints these days, and with more than 200 around the country, there is lots of opportunity to check it out. So next time you and the buddies need something to do. . . Well you know what to look out for!

Be sure to check out more of Missy Lynn at www.getconquer.com/missylynn/

FRESH SOUND OF MILLION YOUNG

Funk Pop: MillionYoung

Blasting out of every speaker in my house is my new obsession Million Young.

Mike Diaz of MillionYoung lives in Miami Florida. MillionYoung is a fresh new sound that combines traditional instruments like guitar and fuses them with funk and electronica into one tropical soundscape masterpiece. When you listen to MillionYoung you are transported to downtown Miami Cruising with the top down listening to the sounds of the city. Honestly ,I get the feeling of being in Miami when I listen to the song hammock. You can tell that his environment influences his music. Which is great, because who doesn’t love Miami?

Vocally , MillionYoung reminds me of indie rock bands from the early 2000 which is slightly nostalgic. However it’s funky dance, up beat rhythm, gives it a fresh contemporary feel which truly in compasses what Miami is all about. No surprise that MillionYoung has been described as chillwave the sound that is trending right now.

Another favorite song is “Cynthia”. The beat of this song is reminiscent of trance music which gives it a cool dreamlike quality. MillionYoung sounds like it should be playing in a high-end Fashion Boutique. If you listen closely you can hear what sounds like a xylophone giving it almost innocent quality that’s clear and refreshing.

MillionYoung is no rookie when it comes to performing since his EP album in 2009 entitled, “SunnDreamm” he is had a wide variety of performances. His experience includes touring internationally, and performing at live music festivals.

Currently, MillionYoung is working on his fourth album entitled,” Rare form”

ON THE ROAD AGAIN…WITH LITTLE TEXAS

Country Band: Little Texas

On the road again….

Back in the 90s Little Texas took the country world by storm. Selling over 7 million albums, receiving 3 Grammy nominations plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group Of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year). Their first radio release in 1991, “Some Guys Have All The Love,” became a Top-10 hit, as did their next single, “First Time For Everything.

The band toured with fellow musicians such as Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood, Tim McGraw and Travis Tritt. Little Texas broke a record in country music history. They had three different songs on three different charts with three different lead singers, all at the same time. It is a feat that has never been repeated since by any band.

In 1997 the band decided to take a  Hiatus after years of touring and producing. They each worked on individual projects and spent time with family and friends. In 2004 the four original members rebuilt the franchise with a new sound. This year, Little Texas is breaking new sonic ground with the release of their 8th album, Young For A Long Time https://www.littletexasonline.com/music

Little Texas always knows the number one job is to consistently deliver to the fan base that they’ve acquired over the years. Their meet and greets, VIP fan club and consistent communication through social media https://www.facebook.com/littletexasband/ allows the fans to stay connected to the band. You can catch Little Texas touring with some of their country musicians in a town near you this summer.

AN INTERVIEW WITH MARK MCKINNEY

Mark McKinney’s new release “Bridge”

The past is gone it’s yesterday, you gotta get out of your own way

The past is gone it yesterday, the rest of your life begins today

Mark not only entertains you with his new release Bridge but he also inspires you.

Mark has four studio albums, Fifteen Top 10 hits on the Texas Country Charts, an ever-growing fan base, and favorite entertainer of the Texas music scene, Mark McKinney is a force to be reckoned with, and has no plans of slowing down any time soon. World In Between was released in January of 2017, it has already received much critical acclaim. This past week he released the video that showcases the soundtrack Bridge.
We had an opportunity to meet up with Mark and his band at SXSW2017 in his hometown of Austin. We asked him a few questions in between sets.

Does the song have a personal meaning behind it? Not too much, while writing it we thought of a fictional couple who had a relationship that had turned bitter, and it had become time to move on. But, one side wasn’t willing to let it go. We also wanted a positive message about starting over to be included, and that happens at the end of the song, in the last bridge of the song. “The past is gone it’s yesterday, the rest of your life begins today.”

Do you write all your own music?

Yes, every song I’ve ever recorded I’ve written, many of them alone, and sometime I co-write. My new album has 11 tracks on it, one was co-written with my brother Eric, two were co-written with my wife Cassie, including “Bride,” and one with a friend named Brian Burke. The rest written alone.

When putting together the album how do you select what song will be the first song on the album?

That’s a tough decision, as the tracks start to come together, they take on a vibe and life of their own, eventually you find one that just sort of feels like a good start to the album. My brother Eric who co-produced the album with me, plus my Dad who attended all the recording sessions (Couch producer),  and I started thinking 90 Miles fit the bill, and would be a nice laid back feel to kick things off.

Not every song that you produce will get a video created for it, how do you choose? Ideally we want to do a video for each single we put out to radio, it’s nice to have a visual to go with the song in this day and age of YouTube and iPhones… choosing each single is a tough decision, you factor in the song’s style, quality, the feel and tempo of the song compared to the previous single, the time of year and what might correlate well etc.. eventually one just sort a emerges as the right choice, at least you hope so.

You have a long time relationship with the producer of your video what skills are you most attracted to of his?

My friend AJ Vallejo produced the video for “Bridge.” AJ has a long back ground in music, having fronted the very successful Austin TX rock band “Vellejo,” and producing 100’s of albums and projects. He really has a great eye for video producing and I like the energy and vision he goes for in his videos.

Who came up with the concept for the video? That pretty much came about over 2 or 3 dinners out with AJ, my wife Cassie, and myself. We like to get together with him and try new foodie places in Austin, and we did that several times and just through ideas around all contributing pieces to the puzzle.

Writing, producing, and recording is so personal but if you had the opportunity, what artist would you like to hear Sing your song?

That’s a very tough question, it’s hard for me to come up with an answer for it. I think I’m going to have to ponder that one for a while longer lol.

Current news:

Mark’s latest single “Sunshine” just went #1 on the Texas Regional Radio Chart. This marks his fourth number one song. Check out the video:
