Singer Songwriter: Jeneen Terrana
Jeneen Terrana just spent the last two months performing in her very first play the Shakespeare production – Macbeth! It makes perfect sense she would fit well into the Broadway scene. She spent her life listening to her Sicilian Grandfather act out full operas every Sunday around the dinner table. He would play every role and on occasion ask Jeneen to jump in and play a character.
When asked if she would like to play the role of one of the witches of Macbeth she jumped at the chance. The director was pushing the envelope with his version of Macbeth. Rather than the stage being set in cold, foggy Scotland, a place whose spirit seems to permeate the play, it was being re-set on a tropical island in the Pacific. Jeneen was cast for the role of Kaiwhatu (a Maori name) that translate as the Three Fates in Greek mythology. They embody the spirit world of the island’s indigenous people. The performance was held in Brooklyn at the Theater 2020, 116 Pierrepont St. , Brooklyn, NY and Cadman Plaza Park, Brooklyn, NY Jeneen is currently auditioning for future roles in other plays.
