The bands teamed up with Texas Troubadour Tours for a week filled with incredible sights and good times, during the Red Dirt Pub Crawl tour across Ireland. From Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Galway, Limerick, Doolin, and more. The artist’s were blown away by the kindness and beauty of this place and its people.

Talent Showcase in Miami

Conquer Entertainment is hosting a BEST OF THE BOOTH Talent Showcase at the 2018 World Conference being held Friday Feb 2nd in Miami, Florida at the American Airlines Arena. Conquer is looking for new talent. Bands, Singers, Rappers (no hardcore), all genres to perform. There will be over 25,000 attendees. Performers do not need to be on the Conquer platform. Contact your favorite artist and submit the requirements below. They will receive a MAWC2018 TICKET for themselves as well a guest pass to the 3 day conference with VIP seating.

Submit a video link of artist performing ASAP (Singing or instrumental) and the Conquer team will pick their favorite artists Jan 10th. The artist will then be provided a MAWC2018 TICKET to the conference and will be invited to perform at the Conquer Booth during the Talent Showcase lunch break Friday Feb 2nd. Conquer Brings Holiday Music Cheer

The holidays are here! Nothing says the holidays better than signing to your favorite holiday melodies. It takes you back to when you were little and the family gathered to celebrate. What was you favorite holiday song? Jingle bells, All I Want For Christmas, Silent Night, Frosty The Snowman…

Growing up, the highlight of every year was decorating the Christmas tree while music played in the background. My sisters and I would create our holiday gift list while eating fresh backed sugar cookies. Then we’d proudly show our parents who could not believe the length, we would postmark the envelopes to the North Pole, and impatiently wait for Christmas day.

Years later in my own home decorating for holidays music is a large part of the season. I am brought back to memories of sitting on the living room floor and unwrapping my gifts listening to Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Rosemary Clooney and more.

She’s Back!

After some time away, Sarah Bella is back to writing and performing. Sarah’s journey into the music industry did not start when she was a small children. Her career started much later but that does not diminish her passion for the art of music. She was sitting quietly and listening and one day she picked up a guitar and the music started pouring out of her.

She has established a loyal fan base via YouTube, became the winner of Detroit’s Got Talent, Performed at the Detroit Piston’s halftime show, and has written music for an independent film. Sarah has recently taken a few years off to spend time with her children but she is coming back stronger than ever.

She just released a new website, new music and new blog. Her latest song “Steal the Moon” represents her everlasting love for her children.

Country Artist: Little Texas

This year, Conquer country band, Little Texas is breaking new sonic ground with the release of their 8th album, Young For A Long Time. Country fans are excited to see the band back in action. They have sold over 7 million albums over the course of their career, they received 3 Grammy nominations plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group Of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year).

Their first radio release in 1991, “Some Guys Have All The Love,” became a Top-10 hit, as did their next single, “First Time For Everything.” After the album First Time For Everything was released, five singles reached the top of the charts.

The second album, Big Time, catapulted Little Texas. The album sold more than three million copies to date, which included three No. 1 singles -“What Might Have Been,” “God Blessed Texas” and “My Love” -The group received their first CMT Award, a Billboard award, a Radio & Records award and their first Grammy nomination.

Undoubtedly the band has never sounded more confident. The four band members appreciate each other and still have a ball on stage. There is a comfort level that happens when you have played together for over 20-something years.

Summer Concerts At Second & Greene

Concert Review: Second & Greene Concert Series

You could definitely feel that fall was in the air on September 30th in North Carolina, but that didn’t stop anyone from attending the last outdoor concert for the summer season at  Second and Green Tavern. Donny Watts & Downhill Slide with a special performance by Conquer artist, J. Marc Bailey, were the evenings headline acts, and drew in a very diverse crowd from country fans, bikers, college students, local patrons and even a coffee shop and restaurant owner all the way down from Virginia.

Second and Green Tavern, located in Winston-Salem, is known as the neighborhood place to be and they packed in a crowd. Even though it was a chilly night, these boys certainly heated up the stage. One of the highlights of the evening was the acoustic set performed by Donny Watts and J. Marc Bailey on guitar, and Don Sr. on harmonica.

After speaking with J. Marc, he was thankful and appreciative to work with incredible professionals. The Downhill Slide Band had only one rehearsal with the country artist and did an amazing job representing his original music. The band covered country western hits and original music from The Blues, Country and Rock pleasing the crowd. The last song of the evening, “I Can’t Stop You” performed by J. Marc Bailey, received an overwhelming response from the crowd which confirmed his decision to make the song his next single to be released.

LOVE CONQUERS HATE: Harvest Festival Tragedy

Two weeks today, on the night of October 1, 2017, a gunman opened fire on a large crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip, leaving 58 people dead and hundreds injured. This happened between 10:05 and 10:15 p.m. PDT. The gunman fired hundreds of rifle rounds from his suite on the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel. The incident is the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in the United States.

Since 2014, the Route 91 Harvest Festival has been held annually at Las Vegas Village, a 15-acre lot used for outdoor performances. The venue is 450 meters from the  Mandalay Bay hotel is diagonally across the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Mandalay Bay Road.

Everyone of us can visualize ourselves being in an open field listening to our favorite band. Whether you are a Country, rock, hip hop, pop, reggae, blues fan. We are all one. The music world is a small group of individuals that connects us all. Maren Morris, who performed at Route 91 on Sept. 30, wrote the song with Tom Douglas and David Hodges in 2015, two days after a gunman killed nine parishioners at a Charleston, South Carolina, but had struggled with the right time to release it. The song features lyrics by Vince Gill.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: STATE OF TEXAS

Our Video of the week is Mark McKinney’s United State of Texas. The video was designed to help those affected buy Hurricane Harvey. On September 11th the video was released it has over 2,883 views and 75 shares in less than one week. This video was produced using photos and video taken from the town of Port Aransas, Texas.

The before and after content reflects the devastation this town suffered. The Mckinney’s felt they had the ability to help beyond just a private donation so they reached out to friends and peers. In a short period of time they produced a video, put together a benefit concert and created several ways to make a donation.

Mark McKinney never imagined this would be the video to accompany his song “United State of Texas” but he is so proud of the HEROS of Port Aransas and through out Texas.

Mark  and  Cassie McKinney call Port Aransas, TX their second home. It is where Cassie was raised, where she went to high school and started her business Third Coast Theater along side her parents Seashell Resort. Hurricane Harvey ripped through this beautiful beach town and left devastation behind.

The McKinneys and residents of Port A are strong resilient proud Texans. They will get the job done but not with out our help. This past Saturday, Cassie and Mark Mckinney are hosting this benefit to help the citizens of Port Aransas, TX at the River Road Ice House. 100% of donations and proceeds went directly to victims.
